The Scottish Reformation: An Episcopalian Perspective

Posted Friday 22 June 2012

A booklet entitled ‘The Scottish Reformation: An Episcopalian Perspective’ has just been published by the Diocese.

This is a significant contribution to understanding our identity as a Church which is both Catholic and Reformed, Scottish and yet part of a worldwide Communion. Written by the Revd Dr Ian Meredith, Rector of the South Ayrshire Team Ministry, it is based on lectures given earlier this year at St Aidan’s Clarkston. These were well attended and very well received, with the audience commenting that they were an accessible yet scholarly overview of the topic. It thus seemed appropriate to the Rector of St Aidan’s and others that the fruit of Dr Meredith’s scholarship be made available to an even wider audience.

There are three copies available for borrowing from the Diocesan Mission and Ministry Library, or else order your own by sending an A5 SAE and £3 cheque made payable to ‘St Aidan’s Church’ to: St Aidan’s Lectures, 8 Golf Road, Clarkston G76 7LZ.
