Bishop Idris has appointed Ms Susi Cormack Brown as editor of Diocesan News Service (DNS), the monthly magazine insert for Glasgow & Galloway.

A member of Holy Trinity, Ayr, Susi brings her years of experience as a journalist and communicator to the role, and is also involved with various groups in the Ayrshire region focusing on issues of justice and peace.

Rev Ali Chesworth, convener of the diocesan Information and Communications Network, said: “Susi is a welcome addition to the team and we look forward to her input and ideas for Diocesan communications in general, as well as her more specific role as editor of DNS."

Susi can be contacted with articles or news for DNS at a new email address, dns@episcopalglasgow.org.uk. The next deadline for articles and information for DNS is 14 January 2008.

Susi succeeds Marilyn Pope, who edited DNS for seven years before standing down this summer.
