Getting to grips with Luke

In order to prepare ourselves for preaching on the Gospel of Luke in Year C, a day event will take place next month led by the Revd Professor John Riches. This will take place in All Saints Scottish Episcopal Church, Drymen Road, Bearsden on Saturday November 7th from 11.00am – 3.00pm. All Saints is situated in the centre of Bearsden on the Drymen Road between Glenburn Road and Colquhoun Road and a location map is available from the their web site - http://episcopalglasgow.co.uk/bearsden-milngavie/

The day will include formal input from the Revd Canon John Riches, Emeritus Professor of Divinity and Biblical Criticism, Glasgow University, on the shape and context of the Gospel in the morning, followed by participative Contextual Bible Study in the afternoon. All Clergy, Readers and Worship Leaders who preach regularly are welcome to this event, as well as Lay Preachers from the Methodist Church; please register with Anne Tomlinson, the Ministry Development Officer of the Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway, by e-mail (mdo.gg@btinternet.com) or ‘phone 0131 668 1322.

Tea and coffee will be available – please bring your own sandwich lunch.
Church accessible to wheelchair users and Induction Loop installed.
