King James Bible Reading Marathon at All Saint’s, Bearsden - What started out as a simple brain-storming annual fund-raising exercise turned out into a week-long Marathon! When Vestry Secretary Mairi Ross and a few members of the Vestry and congregation got together to discuss the annual fund-raising event, little did they realise what they were letting themselves in for! In the past they had successfully promoted Fetes and Fayres, Concerts and Suppers until Mairi hit upon the bright idea that as 2011 was the 400th Anniversary of the publication of the KJV why not try a Bible Reading event to celebrate it?

St Cuthbert’s, Cambuslang : Congregational Walk at Whitelee Windfarm, Eaglesham. - Thirteen adults, two teenagers and two dogs set off in pooled cars to walk round the routes at Whitelee Windfarm on a very sunny Saturday in early July. It was a day to appreciate alternative energy resources and to get fit!

Minister Beats Priest up Luss Hill - The Faith In Throughcare project at St. Matthew's Possilpark took 12 volunteers on a 24 hour team building session to Luss Parish Church on 2nd/3rd March. As well as beautiful scenery, great food & meetings round a real fire in the Manse, came the offer of a dawn hike up the hill behind the village. Only a few could face this after the Old Firm Game the night before but Dane, the parish minister, lead the way with Fr. David Wostenholm wheezing through the mists above Loch Lomond coming in a poor second!
