Information about the churches’ work in the community.
North Ayrshire Team
Over the Christmas 2008 period, the churches of the North Ayrshire team were involved with the Mother’s Union project to send Christmas cards to named prisoners. They also collected, and delivered to Kilmarnock prison a good selection of magazines and reading matter.

There is ongoing lay and clergy involvement in special needs schools and with the local ecumenical outreach group.
St Columba’s, Largs
St Columba’s is still without a rector, but organised a full range of Christmas services, the proceeds of which were divided between Aberlour Child Care Trust, Emmaus Glasgow, which helps homeless people, and drugs-related charity the Maxie Richards Foundation.
The congregation also collected and delivered toys and gifts along with wrapping paper to Starter Packs Glasgow.
Largs is a Fairtrade Church, and is an active participant in the ecumenical life of the town, being a member of Largs Churches Together and helping out with Lent lunches and Summer Holiday Club.
