From Bishop Idris…

A warm welcome to our website where you can gather lots of information about Glasgow and Galloway Diocese, writes the Most Rev Idris Jones, Bishop of Glasgow & Galloway.

We are proud of the origins we share with all Christians in this part of Scotland (Ninian was Bishop in the fifth century and Kentigern or 'Mungo' in the sixth century) but our energy is given to today and tomorrow.

Congregations are working through programmes of outreach and renewal to keep the Christian message full of meaning in the new Scotland. It is good to welcome you - please remember to pray for us all.
